I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
