During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 missiles attacked the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.
